Welcome to the California Concealed Carry course (CCW).
This is a sixteen hour (two day) instructional course which will include both class room instruction, hands on instruction, and range time focusing on safety, proper firearms handling with your personal firearm, situational awareness, State/Federal laws, and more. This class also offers the classroom/range qualification requirements needed to complete the the LA County and Kern County CCW application process.
The goal of the class is to provide you with the minimum requirements needed to get your CCW for LA County and Kern County. It also includes Stop The Bleed tourniquet familiarization and an intro to USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1.
The student will be required to supply their own handguns or handguns registered in their name and ammunition for each to be qualified with. There will be a fee of $10 for each additional firearm after the first firearm used.
This is a 16 hour (two day) class that satisfies the minimum requirements set forth by CA PC 26165/SB2 for your Kern / LA County CCW classroom/Range requirements.
Items required:
The firearm/arms you wish to have on your CCW ($10 each fee after your first firearm)
2 magazines per semi auto or speed Loader for revolvers
100 rounds for your firearm you will be shooting first
20 additional rounds for each additional firearm you wish to have on your CCW
This course does not guarantee a CCW permit
Feel free to bring a lunch, snacks, and or drinks to the class
This class will begin with the required range qualification for the above mentioned Counties. We will then review State and Federal laws regarding firearms and carrying, firearm safety, loading and unloading, addressing threats, situational awareness, and more.
